An exceptionally beautiful antique patchwork quilt made in 19th and some 18th century silks and velvets. It is completely hand-sewn in the tiniest stitches and has never been lined, or used - some of the patches around the edge still have their papers cut from letters in wonderful spidery writing. As a result it is in extremely good condition with no fading, and only six damaged pieces, as shown.
